1946

The Beginning

Alexander Boyd Displays first opened for business and was originally set up to supply exhibition stands to the local Northern Ireland marketplace.

1962

The Move

The company relocated from the Ravenhill Road, Belfast to a converted Linen Mill at Lambeg Mills, this becoming the creative hub of an expanding business.

1966

Winning Team

England wins the Football World Cup... and we invest in Screen Printing Technology.

1970

Automation

A new decade and semi-automatic screen print machines are purchased to facilitate longer runs of posters. Point of Sale, Billboard posters and Bus Advertising panels now being manufactured.

1984

A New Era

The introduction of the Apple Mac revolutionalised design and print for Alexander Boyd

1986

Large Format Automation

The company invested in semi and fully automatic screen print equipment. Produces its first four colour process screen printed 48 sheet poster for Guinness – the first of many!
